Yes, production of the last color to be fulfilled, Sunshine, has begun! Like before, we still have the balance of Chili to assemble and ship but we are nearing the finish line of our commitment to you, our wonderful backers.

Now that most of you have your boats or will be receiving your boats soon, we want to hear from you! Some of you have posted in the Pak Members facebook page and on our forum - we love it - keep it up! We monitor both and although it might not be immediate, we will address your comments and questions on both the facebook page and the forum. If you have a question with your Pakayak Bluefin 14 and do not want to post it publicly, you can write to us at [email protected]. If you have an issue with your boat, please make sure to register and then fill out the warranty form.

Production of Chili is starting

Great News

Production of Chili is starting – YAY! We are so happy to be more than half way through the process of getting all of your pledges out to you. Your patience and understanding has been wonderful! We are currently assembling and shipping the last of the Habanero boats. We are switching to the production of Chili today and should start shipping soon.

Updated Schedule:
Chili - expect to be shipping by 8th or 9th of May
Sunshine - expect to be shipping by 21st of May or sooner

We want to thank all you Backers who have received your boats for the feedback you have provided. We want this to be the best kayak you’ve ever had. We would love it if you would give us a review on Facebook or on our website. Also, please do not forget to join our private Facebook group, if you have not already done so, just type "Pak Members" (without the quotes) into the search bar on Facebook and ask to join. We want this Facebook page to be a dynamic place for you to share your trips, tips and any other information that other Pakayak owners might like to know. We also have the forum on our website for those of you who do not use Facebook.

Molding Habanero Next

Dear Backers,

Yes, we have finished producing Surf and we are on to Habanero – YAY!

If Habanero is your color and you need to change your address, please write an email to info (@) pakayak.com with your shipping address. Remember, we cannot ship to PO or APO boxes.

We still have a few Surf boats to push through the assembly process and get into boxes so don't worry if you are getting a Surf boat. It's coming!

Timeline & TV

Dear Backers,

Production Schedule Update

Gregstrom continues to produce as fast as they can and aims to ship more than 50 boats a week. It has taken a little longer than expected to get up to speed and we are currently getting the last of the Surf boats out. They should start producing Habanero next week. This has caused a SLIGHT shift in our timeline.

Surf - currently
Habanero - shipping by April 27th or sooner
Chili - shipping by May 9th or sooner
Sunshine - shipping by May 21st or sooner

We are confident that soon production will increase and when it does, we’ll update you with a new schedule.

Dr. Gadget

We received a call from Dr. Gadget who is a product spokesperson and regular guest on the Good Day LA show on Fox. He wants to do a feature & giveaway of the Pakayak Bluefin 14. Well, naturally, we said YES – to 70,000 TV viewers! That show will air on 4/26. We wanted to give you advanced notice and let you know that this boat was planned for demos and will not compromise our deliveries to you.

Progressing & Connecting

Dearest Backers,

Progress & Production Update 

As you know, we have been working at and with Gregstrom to help to speed things up to get boats out to you faster. We are producing boats as fast as we can but haven’t been able to keep pace with the schedule we previously assumed. We currently have a commitment from Gregstrom of 40 boats per week and we are discussing options that will allow us to get to 60 per week. That means we will be switching to Habanero before the end of next week. If that’s your color, please watch out for an email from us asking that you double check your shipping address. As always, we thank you for your patience. Below is the color shipping schedule based on 40 boats per week.

Color Shipping Schedule: 
Habanero - expect to start shipping by 23rd of April or sooner 
Chili - expect to start shipping by 7th of May or sooner 
Sunshine - expect to start shipping by 21st of May or sooner 

Packing Lists 

There has been some confusion with the packing lists that come with your boats. We apologize but the lists that were created are from BackerKit and show your entire order. There was no option to create them another way. Please remember that we are producing and shipping by color so if you have two boats in different colors, they will be shipped separately. 

Connecting PAK Members

To help provide better connections between all of us, we have set up a couple of ways you can connect with us and other Pakayak owners. 

Facebook 'PAK Members' Secret Group

As we have mentioned, we have created a Facebook secret group exclusively for Pakayak owners. There you can exchange info, share tips and journeys, maps/water routes and info on events and outings that you think other members might like to know about. We will be sending you an invite through Facebook or by email. If you do not receive an invite, please write to us directly at info (at) pakayak.com and provide us with the email you would like us to send the invite to. 

Pakayak Forum 

We have also set up a forum on our website for you to communicate with us and with other PAK Members. Please note that you need to be a user on our website in order to post. 

IMPORTANT: If you create a user account for the forum before you register your kayak, then use this form to register your kayak.
