Production Start & Giveaway!

Dear Backers,
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our clamps which had a slight delay and will be at our manufacturer next week. That will coincide nicely with the start of production which was pushed back a bit by a change in our manufacturer’s schedule.
The good news is that we are still on schedule to ship boats in November and into December!
Considering what we have all endured to date, these little hiccups are just that, nothing more, and all part of bringing a new, American-made product to market. Keep the faith and know that soon Pakayak will be delivered to your doorstep.
To coincide with the start of production, we will be running a product launch "giveaway" to gain more momentum in the market. As always, we wanted you to be the first to know. Starting tomorrow, we'll be announcing the giveaway on most social media platforms and through email. As always, we'd love your support by sharing it with others - you might even win!

Dear Backers,
We are getting so close now, we can taste it!
We have assembled, tested and approved the new clamps! Our clamp manufacturer is scheduled to begin shipping clamps to us next week in order to start production. As you can see, we’ve added a vinyl handle cover on the latch for a softer feel. Check it out...
What does all of this mean for you? We are on track to ship boats in late November and into December.
We will post an update with a video as soon as we are in production so you can celebrate with us!

Testing Clamps for Approval

Dear Backers,
We have just received the parts from our clamp manufacturer for approval (finally - yes!) and we are putting them through our testing process. So far everything looks great! Once each part is approved, our manufacturer will start assembling the clamps and will then ship them to our molder.

At this point we still expect to be in production by the end of the month or the first week of November. So, we should be shipping in November as planned. As soon as we start production, we'll let you know!

We are keeping it local (east coast of US) for now as these are short trips we can do in a cost effective manner and yet continue to drive pre-order sales.
